Framing

Man Made

1. This photo worked as a man-made frame because Suyen and I are being framed by the bars and roof of the golf cart. We saw on of the administrators driving around and we stopped him asking if we could take a picture using the cart, he said yes.
2. The hard part was finding unique places to take pictures of, but we came up with the right ideas to make our pictures look great.

1. This Photo works as a man-made frame because the object (my pass) is being framed by the Gatorade machine. I took this photo simply by putting my pass into the machine and it got propped up.

2. The hard part was getting our models to fit in areas of interest, but the we just came up with using props like this pass.

Natural

1. For this photo Luie just kinda had the idea to hop up in a tree so I'm like ok and it actually works as a natural photo.
2. This photo was hard because we weren't even sure if he could climb up the tree and pose for a natural frame. The tree branch worked as a perfect frame.
1. I had to borrow the chicken to do this natural photo and it worked out great because the chicken is in the center and the plants make a frame around it.
 2. It was hard to stand it up against things so the tree really helped out though. The plants helped frame so that helped me overcome taking the right shot.

Architectural

1. For this architectural photo I had my friend Erin hold the chicken under a building and it made a frame around him. I had the idea already so I just asked him to help.
2. The hard part was I wasn't sure if it would work but the lighting and focus came in great, but he couldn't really open his eyes due to the sun.

1. This architecture frame was my favorite because its nice and plain and the halls are empty. Also all of it was inside and it worked as a frame.
2. The only hard part was making sure no one walked into the shot. Also the funny thing was that people saw me carrying this chick and were weirded out like whoa never seen someone walk around Serra with a chicken. That was the only hard part about the chicken photos, but it worked because for the most part everyone had a place to be and couldn't sit and watch me.

Pattern

Man-made

I took this photo of the police golf cart's top lights because it gave off a pattern because each square has 4 circles in it. The circle lighs make a man made pattern, but sadly they werent on to make a red and blue pattern, maybe next time haha.

I took this photo near the gym because the chain is a repeated pattern connecting together using interlocking circles. It is a man made pattern of metal and i like this photo because it starts at the bottom left of the screen and goes to the upper right hand corner.

Natural

I took this photo underneath a tree and it works as a natural pattern. It works because its a bunch of leaves which is a repeating natural pattern. All the leaves look the same making it a successful pattern as well.

I took this photo next to the classroom and it shows a natural pattern of leaves. I love the color green so that is why I took it, but also because leaves are a natural pattern too.

Improve

I need to fix the blur on the photo because you can't tell what pattern I'm looking at. Next time I will make sure to focus on my subject.

Well

In this Photo I used leading lines and a natural pattern. I think it shows up well because your eyes follow the natural pattern of the palm trees. Against the blue sky your eyes follow the trees all the way to the end of the parking lot of La Jolla shores.

For my next Project my goal is to really organize like one day I should have taken pictures of all natural patterns and the other day all man-made patterns. Next time I will make sure I don't take too many pictures of just one subject, but even it out more.

Angles

Above

Below

Straight

1. This photo is strongest because of the lighting and the focus on the glove. Also the photo is level with the glove even though it is on the ground so its kind of creative.

Composition

2.  This is an example of leading lines because the rail leads you to the subject being the glove. I took this on a staircase placing the glove on the top on a rail.

Improve

4. I need to improve on taking less dead on photos where the subject is in the center. I will try to take more angle photos.

3. The hardest part was finding new places to put the glove that show angles. There are a lot of places in the school depending on your level of creativity. With practice I will be able to take good pictures with ease.

Lines

Horizontal
I like this photo because it is a man-made line with a little creativity in it. The only accident was Mr. Pederson in the back ground and the lights in a line. I just really like all the lines in the photo and my friend Luie in a square its a cool and funny photo.

Diagonal
I like this photo because with a man-made background its a actually the diagonal line that makes it an environmental line because its the sun making a shadow. I like how its dark on top and light on the bottom kinda like a yin-yang.

Vertical

4. The most challenging part was finding different types of lines inside of school. I was able to take pictures differently to make them work as different lines.
5. Mr Pederson is a bomb teacher so not much room for improvement haha. Maybe just a little more time to go outside so we have more time to take pictures.
6. One thing I could do to improve is take photos relating to all topics rather than just one topic.
