PhotoAnalysis: Portraits

In this portrait we see a sad woman in a field with a white dress. The sad woman is standing in a white dress in a wheat field surrounded by a forest during evening time. She might be said because she is heart broken, she looks like she got stood up since she has dress, and it looks like it is getting late. I just want to know why she is sad?

This happy dog is relaxing in grass in this portrait.I see a happy black and white dog laying in lush grass in the springtime near the woods and it's during the day. I feel like the dog is tired after playing, it's springtime, and it's a happy portrait. However, what is the dog looking at?

In the portrait of the old man his face takes up most of the photo. I see a humble man who appears to have a fresh cut on his forehead and it's a sad portrait. I can infer that he got in a fight due to the cut, he is sad, and he has hope. I only wanna know how did he get that cut?

In this creepy portrait a man decides to take a swim in what appears to be a dark pool or lake. A creepy man sits in murky water that seems freezing due to his paleness and the water seems clean, but its early morning with fog around. I think he is angry or maybe just crazy, he cold since it is morning time, and he might be sneaking up on someone.

In this interesting photo a man prepares for a long fall back to earth. I see a brave astronaut with red bull symbols on him, a beautiful earth with a blue glow, and the main color is white do to the man's suit and shuttle. I feel like from the picture I can infer he's nervous, ready to jump and he must be sponsored by red bull. The only question I have is what went through his head when he jumped?

MIDTERM Portfolio

Thanks to Luie's amazing modeling I was able to use the rule of thirds technique. I like this one best because Luie was nicely set on the left and he really catches your eye with the black glasses. I wish I could have nudged him over more and stepped back.

The photo of leaves on the ground is my picture for fill the frame. I like this photo because it truly does fill the frame and there is that one imperfection in the corner that catches the eye. However, I would have liked to get a photo really close up on the leaves.

The photo of Luie  is an example of leading lines. I like this photo because it wasn't all set up I had to move the pallet and sit Luie down in the shade for it to work. Its hard to say where to improve, but maybe a little more of the pallet in view would be good.

This photo of the baseball glove is a panning photo. The colors in this photo are amazing and my boy Franklin here looks like a boss. I had a tough time deciding what I fix, but I think i'd fix the blur and put more focus on the glove.

The lights on officer Grey's golf cart are an example of patterns. I like this photo of patterns because it's not something you see everyday....hopefully. I would liked to have gotten this from a different angle though.

The photo of your wonderful chicken happens to be a filling the frame photo. I like this photo because for once the halls were empty and I had no problem taking this photo despite the random stares from fellow students. I only wish I could have focused better on the chicken and not the exit sign.

For the ABC's assignment I really liked my letter H and that's why it is one my portfolio. I liked this photo because it was the easiest letter for to find. I do wish I would haave taken a shot where you can see me, but hey at least you know I took it.

This funny photo of Jessica is a good example of  shutter speed. I liked how Jessica finally took a good photo because it's hard to get her to model, but everything I thought would work worked. The only flaw in the photo is it's hard to see the blurred leaves attacking Jessica.

The photo of you on your morning commute so happens to be a panning photo. I like the photo of you because to be honest it was my only good panning photo. Sadly, it's not that good of a pan it could definitely be blurred a lot more in the backgraound.

The above photo is of a lovely outlet and was chosen to be my depth of field example. I really liked this photo because it was a great depth of field and the blur is kinda colorful. I kinda wanted a brighter outlet since this on looks glooming, but it wasn"t facing the sun.

The photo of the bee is my wild card also its one of my favorite. This bee is one of my favorite photos because it was one of my first photo and I felt it was a very interesting photo. I would have liked to get a little closer and zoomed in on the bee, but it was already time to go inside.

End Comment

The biggest challenge in this class has to be setting up these blog posts. I feel I finally understand how to set them up its just that before I could get the formatting right, but don't worry Mr. P I have it under control. I feel I have successfully understood the camera and settings and this will definitely help me next semester because we will most likely used the cameras again. I am most excited to learn about photo shop like in more details because used correctly it can make photos breath takingly awesome. The only thing I would ask is if you could let us choose new partners PLEASE!!!
I would gladly talk a lot less if you could do that, but if not I will still not talk during important lecture times because you're a chill teacher. :D

DOF Photo Corrected

DOF Photo Corrected

In this photo I played around with levels and used a high pass filter with overlay. Which helped the contrasts become more noticeable and the focus on the outlet slightly better. I like the adjustments I've made to this photo they make it cooler looking. One thing I would've fixed was a little more blur to the background.
In this photo of my glasses I used a simple high pass filter for a quick and easy sharpen. Then I used levels for a nice darkening of the photo. I like the adjustments of the photo because of the dark scene with the black glasses. I only wish I could have made the lenses more reflective.

For this photo of the red berries I used a high pass filter with soft light and some levels changing. It made the red brighter and the grass more lush. I like the adjustments I made because it makes everything more colorful and less dull. I wish I could have taken this photo with less light but its one of my favorite.

In this photo of luie I changed the contrast and also used another high pass filter. The sharpness can be seen on the hat and the levels adjustments can be seen on the plants in the background as well as the shade in his eye. I felt these adjustments weren't needed and the picture would be fine without them. I wish I had fixed the light on his face because his skin color is almost washed out.

In this photo of the panda in its natural habitat I used levels and a high pass filter because they make the best changes. Also they were able to make the panda cleaner looking. I like having pictures of things that look clean or at there best. I wish I could have more color in the background but it was to close to completely blur.

For this photo I used levels and high pass filter. The adjustments enhanced the sharpness and contrasts in my photos. I feel like it captures the eye more and I didn't edit it to the point where it looks unrealistic. I wish I could have cleaned the mirror before I took this picture because there was a little dirt on it.

Shallow depth of field is focus on a little area and Large depth of field is like focus on a bigger area like an ocean with a beach in focus. TV mode is adjusting the Shutter speed and AV is adjusting the aperture setting. The most difficult part was getting people to model because I guess people only like pictures of themselves if they take it... For example, Facebook profile pictures hahahaha. Other than that i understood most of this project and had fun doing it.

Depth of Field

This photo has large depth of field because the scenery of the mountains is visible. The focal point is most likely the water. I feel this is a larger depth of because everything is well focus and nothing is blurry. The purpose of this depth of field was to get a great view of the landscape.

This photo has a larger depth of field because along with the foreground the background is visible. The focal point is the trees in this photo. This photo demonstrates large depth of field due to the visibility of everything and nothing is blurred. The photographer used large depth of field to show off the scenery in this picture.

I picked this photo because it also has a large depth field and I also love the beach when its hot out like summertime. The focal point is the whole beautiful beach. The photo I picked also has a larger depth of field because the ocean and shoreline is in perfect focus. The real reason the photographer did this was to show off the beauty of this scenery that is the beach.

This photo I chose has shallow depth of field. The focal point is his butt which is a little weird haha well its mostly the mans body in the foreground that is in focus. The reason it is a shallow depth of field photo is because the background is blurred and the man is in focus. The photographer probably wanted to put focus on the man because city wasn't the important thing in the photo.

This photo is has very shallow depth of field. The focal point is the roses because it is the only thing in focus in the picture. The reason it is shallow depth of field because somethings are blurred in the photo. The photographers purpose was to focus on the flowers.

This photo happens to be a shallow depth of field. The focal point is the mushroom on the tree. It definitely demonstrates a shallow depth of field. The purpose the photographer is trying to do is to set focus on the mushroom.

End of the World

I feel its important to save this book in an Apocalypse. Knowledge is power and just because the world ends it doesn't mean you have to become dumb as dirt. Also if I ever get bored I would have something to read. This Dictionary would help save my inter intelligence and that way if I ever needed to speak i would still be able to correctly.

I plain love technology so this is a must during an Apocalypse. Even when there isn't an end to the world people fight over Apple products so why not have my own. As long as the Internet is working there are a lot of things to be done. This pic is really a general idea of having technology during an apocalypse because its helpful. Using such things as maps information and other resources come easier due to technology and the Internet.

My friend Luie here would be a great person to save for the apocalypse due to his funny nature. With Luie the zombies couldn't stop us and we would live long fun lives. Also having a bro is vital during an apocalypse and he would help keep me sane. This way I wont get lonely and the apocalypse wouldn't know who hit them.
